Final verdict: 126 entries. Mosquitoes were the 2nd largest class with 11 boats (after the Impulses & 29ers – 13). We had three excellent races, and one with too much wind and one with too little.
No frost. No rain (once the racing had started). Overall a pretty good weekend.
The Mosquitos waited patiently for the first start and after witnessing a certain amount of monohull carnage went back ashore and sat out the first race. Only skippers who’s name began with an ‘M’ could handle the wind and cold for the second race. Well done Mitch, Matt and Mick.
Overall Mitch Meade cleaned up the fast cat division, just beating a Taipan and an F18, with Matt, Gary and Tim trailing from 4th back. In the non-spinnaker division the Mozzies had a harder time with Gordon Hyde leading the team in 3rd place and Mick, Peter, Philip, Clancy (new owner of Doubleshot) and Gavin pushing him along!
