Why join the Association?

Membership of the MCASA is inexpensive but is important for the future of the Mosquito class. The association is responsible for administration of the class rules (through the National body, the NMCCA) and for representing your views and interests nationally and promoting the class generally. We hold annual State Titles and other events such as Training days and coordinate activities such as attending regattas. We also organise about every second National Title on behalf of the NMCCA. So for a very small cost you can help ensure the future of the class and the re-sale value of your own boat as well as enjoy some great racing and social events.

There are three categories of membership.

Senior membership costs $50 per year. This is for South Australian Mosquito skippers and is a requirement for sailing in State or National titles.

Junior/Student membership costs $20 per year and is for Mosquito skippers or crews under the age of 18 OR full time student (also a requirement for sailing in State or National titles).

Senior Crew and Associate membership is only $35 per year. This type of membership is for adult aged crews and those not actively sailing in South Australia (or at all) but who want to support the class and the South Australian association.

Crew competing in MCASA sanctioned events must be either a Junior/Student member or Senior Crew member of MCASA.

The membership year is from 1st of August to the 31st of July the following year.
